I just finished this drawing for Sarah last night. I started it a couple weeks back when I was taking a break from freelance. It looks like John Krasinski if he was a muppet. I have to say I’m a fan of this drawing.

Beards and Brushes Facial Hair Art Show

Here are all the details:

• Art must have facial hair theme
• Art is due by Saturday August 29th
• Art can be dropped off at Bogda Gallery, 1253 McDuff Avenue South
• Opening will be at the Bogda Gallery, Saturday September 5th

Everybody get going on putting your work together. This is going to be a fantastic show. Pass the flyer out, blog about it, tweet it, whatevs. Let everyone know about this. It’s going to be awesome.

MY BIRTHDAY!

You know I usually don’t care for my birthday all that much but this year was amazing! Sarah did a wonderful job putting the bbq together and giving me an awesome birthday week. Thanks to everybody who came over. It was so much fun. You can find pictures from the bbq here. Man so much fun times. And you know what else is awesome? Sarah got me a print of this. How awesome is that. God I love that girl!

Seven months in the making and it’s finally finished. BBased.com went live. BroadBased is a great place to work and now it shows with a great website. Check it out.

So yeah I apologize about that, but a lot of things have been happening. Good things so that’s good. But that being said, I have a lot to post about. But I think I’m going to do a whole bunch of posts instead of one big one. The reason is because just like I haven’t been able to post in awhile because I’ve been busy, same goes for tonight. I am going to post everything that is on my list, but I am going to do a whole bunch of little tiny posts. So without further adieu…

Two weekends ago was the World Beard and Mustache Championships!

I really wish I was able to go to that. It looked like so much fun. This year they were held in Anchorage, Alaska. That’s awesome. But even though I was not able to go, two members of The Jacksonville Beardsmith Society, Sam and Devon went and represented our humble club. That’s them in the photo above wearing our awesome t-shirts. Not only that, but they both placed. Devon got second place in the Freestyle Mustache category and Sam got third place in the English Mustache category. That is fantastic! So wish I would have been there. Ah well, next time. The next championships will be held in Trondheim, Norway in 2011. That is going to be amazing. Anyway, enjoy some photos of our local champions below. So the April Pub Night is upon us! This time is going to be extra special because we are celebrating the Mustachio Twins, Sam and Devin, competing in the 2009 World Beard and Mustache Championships! We’ll be hosting another Best Beard/Mustache/Handmade Facial Hair contest! Winners get a $15 bar tab. So everybody get your beards bushy, your mustaches waxed and your fake follicles fancified!

Also, there will be t-shirts available to purchase for $10. We are really excited to get these made. Many thanks to Burro Bags for printing them.
